Hi !

In case you haven’t heard, Scott Kelby has just announced his 2nd Annual Worldwide Photowalk! There are already over 1000 locations registered and over 20K people registered so far this year. This is going be an awsome event this year and has already shattered last years figures of only 8K photographers and only 230 locations.

Join fellow photographers from novice to professional as we capture the famous architecture of Binghamton’s downtown and the beauty of its natural surrounding areas. We will start at the Metrocenter and explore historic buildings such as the Press Building, a magnificent building detailed with an unusually elaborate display of Victorian exuberance, the Courthouse and Perry Buildings both of which were designed by Isaac G. Perry, a famous architect from Binghamton. We will then make our way across the Exchange Street Bridge to the infamous Park Diner overlooking the mighty Susquehanna River and Rock Bottom Dam. Continuing to the South Washington Street Bridge to Confluence Park where we will photograph this rare intersection of 2 major waterways: the Susquehanna and Chenango Rivers. We will round the Photowalk out by passing the Broome County Arena, and other office Buildings illuminated by the night sky before ending at the Metrocenter. We will then convene at the Park Diner for food and fun. For more details and to sign up for the Binghamton walk see the website at: http://worldwidephotowalk.com/binghamton--ny-ny-usa. The Binghamton Photowalk will be held July 18th at 7:45pm-9:45pm.

This year’s Vestal Photowalk will take place on July 18th from 6am–8am at Binghamton University’s nature preserve located behind the University. The nature preserve is quite large with over 180 acres of mountain behind the university, including over 20 acres of wetlands. It is home to many animals including deer, beavers, fox, mink, muskrats, porcupines, and other mammals. There is also a diverse amphibian and reptilian population, and over two-hundred bird species, one of the widest ranges of birds in the Southern Tier of New York. It has many different habitats including a hemlock forest, oak woodlands, a beaver pond, streams, wetlands, shrub-land, meadows and lichen-covered dry sites. It has as a vast number of maintained hiking trails that we will be using for our photowalk. This is an ideal location for the advanced and upcoming photographer or even if you just enjoy shooting at leisure. All are welcome as we share in our love of photography. For more information or to sign up for the Vestal walk see the website at: http://worldwidephotowalk.com/vestal-ny-usa/.

PS: if you signing up for both you have to use a different email address for each one
